Policy for domain name registration services

1. Terms

Registrant – domain name holder who has entered into a domain name registration service agreement.

Registrar – domain name registration service provider - SIA „AmberBit” who acts on behalf of the Registrant and the Registry.

Registry – top-level domain registry operator.

2. Domain name registration application and registration

2.1. By requesting services of domain name registration offered by the Registrar, the Registrant agrees and accepts this Policy.

2.2. The Registrant is liable for requested domain name and its usage in accordance to the applicable laws and the Registry’s policies.

2.3. Hereby the Registrant certifies that all information provided during domain name registration process is correct, complete and accurate. In case of any changes to relevant information the Registrant agrees to promptly inform the Registrar.

2.4. The Registrar agrees to provide to the Registrant domain name registration services in accordance with this Policy and the Registry’s policies.

2.5. Domain name registration is confirmed by e-mail that is sent to the Registrant specified e-mail address.

2.6. After successful domain name registration the Registrant acquires rights to use the domain name. Domain name can be transferred or changes to domain name can be made at any time by request of the Registrant’s contact person.

3. Payment

3.1. The Registrar will not process domain name registration, renewal or other changes until payment is received.

3.2. An invoice is issued electronically and is valid without a signature. The invoice is sent to the Registrants e-mail. The original of the invoice is available in the System by the Registrant after authorisation.

3.3. All amounts paid to the Registrar for services are non-refundable.

3.4. The Registrant is aware, that until payment for domain name registration is not received, it can result in the Registrants chosen domain being registered by someone else.

4. Personal data

4.1. Personal data that the Registrar submits to the Registry is used only to ensure the services, including – to issue an invoice, to register and maintain domain name in accordance with Registry’s policies.

4.2. The data about registered domain names are publicly available in the Registry’s WHOIS database.

5. .eu domain names

5.1. In the case of a .eu domain registration application, the following additional terms and conditions will apply:

5.1.1. Eligibility Criteria: By applying for domain name the Registrant verifies that he is natural person, legal person or entity who meets at least one of the .eu Registry’s General Eligibility Criteria *.

5.1.2. The .eu Registry terms and conditions: the Registrant agrees that by this agreement he is bond to the terms and conditions and any and all other rules or policies that exist now or in the future and which are posted on the .eu Registry www.eurid.eu, including but not limited to, the .eu Domain Name Registration Policy and the .eu Terms and Conditions. The Registrant is responsible for monitoring the Registry’s changes in terms and conditions.

5.1.3. Domain Name Disputes: the Registrant agrees that if the registration of domain name is challenged by a third party, the Registrant will be subject to the provisions specified by the .eu Registry’s terms and conditions.

6. The modifications of the Policy

6.1. The Registrar retains the right to amend and modify this Policy. Up to date Policy is available on the website www.amberbit.eu.


* Eligibility Criteria: By applying for a domain name the Registrant verifies that he is a natural person, a legal person or an entity which meets at least one of the .eu Registry’s General Eligibility Criteria:
  • an undertaking having its registered office, central administration or principal place of business within the Community, or
  • an organisation established within the Community without prejudice to the application of national law, or
  • a natural person resident within the Community.

The Registrant is obliged to inform the Registrar if the Registrant is unable to meet, or no longer meets one of the above eligibility criteria.
